Wonderland Dolls

Almost done.... thought I'd never get here. I passed up a weekend at the cottage so I could try to get them finished. I just need to make them some little stands.

Red Queen - WIP

I haven't even gotten the pants on my Mad Hatter yet and I couldn't wait to start the Red Queen. I am not please with her skirt. I didn't really have enough of the red satin material for her underskirt but tried it anyways and as I thought... too skimpy. I need to re-do it.  I'm on the hunt for some more fabric. I thought I could count on my fabric stash but apparently I don't collect a lot of red. Green, browns, purples, but alas no red. A trip to the VV or fabricland is in my immediate future.

She's coming along. A lot of detail to the construction of her costume. She needs more work on her hair and her eyes, but she's looking red queen like. Sorry for the terrible picture.

Mad Hatter

After seeing the movie, which I must say, I absolutely loved!!! I had to start my version of the characters.
I'm constructing them a little differently from the way I normally do things.... and with a little trial and error I can now show you a picture of my progress on the first one.

Lady Wisteria Asquith Jones

Lady Wisteria has been visiting from England, she began her journey in Ohio with Doll Arist Paula, picked up a new hat in England and some new knickers while she was here with me.

She also enjoyed a historical trip to Toronto...

She took a picture of the stadium at the Canadian National Exhibition with her new brownie camera.

And rode on the carousel at the park.

She met a handsome Prince at a fairy tale castle

And all this was before she got her new knickers.

Soon she'll be off to visit Abi in Texas where she hopes she'll get some new clothes.

She loves her knickers, and must admit people have been very kind not to notice she has no dress on when she goes about her travels.
Normally a Lady wouldn't appear in public with out her many layers.

She does really feel rather embarrassed about it.

Ebay Auction Ends today on Reluctant Prince

My ebay auction for the Reluctant Prince ends today. The girls in my ADO (art dolls only) online group are currently running a promotion on ebay to get a little notice for our club.


What a wonderful group of people. I am happy to say I'm a member. We are doll artists from around the globe and all walks of life who challenge each other, learn from each other and have a whole lot of fun along the way. We're hoping to finally try to get together next year in New Orleans and I'm really looking forward to it.

Ent Forest Spirit Up for Auction

Dragon Girl didn't sell at ebay auction, the auction ended on Suday morning without a bidder. I must say I'm not sad about it. I'd like to have her hang around for a while. So back into my etsy store for her.
I did list my Ent though. In order to promote the ADO Art Dolls Only dollmakers we are posting this week to gain a presence inthe ebay market. We plan to do this at the end of each month. All of sell primarily on etsy and have sold only occassionally on ebay.

So right now I still have my Leprechaun, which has a bid on it anends Tuesday. So I'll have to get ready to say goodbye to him. He was a pleasure to make.
