Cassie Ballerina Jointed Cloth Doll Pattern

Well, it's been a really rough month or so for me. My mom has been diagnosed with bone cancer and almost every second of my time is full. I did manage to get the last of my edits done on the Ballerina Art Doll Cassie and she's now live and posted in my etsy shop.

I'll be busy now taking care of mom. She's in a lot of pain and needs my help. So I'll be out of touch for a while. I'm going to miss her sooo much that I'm taking every second to be with her. My sisters are a wonderful help to mom too so I'm not on my own in this. I thank God everyday for what I'm so lucky to have. A little more time.

Hug the ones you love and tell them everyday that you love them.

Thanks so much for your thoughts and prayers, I think they're working she had a good sleep and the pain a little easier and she seemed rested this morning.

Thanks so much for your prayers and kind words. It’s been a really tough week as I’m sure you can imagine. I have family arriving everyday and more tomorrow before the visitation and for Friday’s mass. It will be nice to see relatives and friends I haven’t seen in years. My mom wanted to do this where we grew up, Port Colborne. It’s also where my father was buried almost 30 years ago. She and my father were very active members of the community there. CWL, Knights of Columbus, heck my dad was a cop there.
We’re trying to keep it positive, lots of humour I hope. My mom was from Newfoundland after all.

I’ve been busy working diligently on her pictorial presentation and have scanned in almost 500 photos from her history…. My Lord, she loved to take pictures!!!  And she even has some rocks she brought back from Newfoundland. As she was from “The Rock” we’ll bring some of them to the visitation just to show her little piece of “home:. She was very close to her surviving family so we’ve had tons of calls and even a shipment of Moose Soup arrive yesterday.

I don’t think it’s fully sunk in yet. I’ve been surrounded by family. I know I’m still in for a serious reality check. I was very close to my mom, although we didn’t get along when I was younger I’ve spent time with her every day for the last 8 years or so. Heck we still disagreed on a lot of things… don’t we all with our parents. Out of all of my sisters, I never thought I’d be her companion as she grew older. I think I won’t know quite what to do with myself when everyone is gone. I’m looking forward to personal growth, a few weeks to breathe and let it all sink in.
I just wanted to thank you for your thoughts and prayers they mean so much to me!
Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
