After seeing the movie, which I must say, I absolutely loved!!! I had to start my version of the characters.
I'm constructing them a little differently from the way I normally do things.... and with a little trial and error I can now show you a picture of my progress on the first one.
My ebay auction for the Reluctant Prince ends today. The girls in my ADO (art dolls only) online group are currently running a promotion on ebay to get a little notice for our club.
What a wonderful group of people. I am happy to say I'm a member. We are doll artists from around the globe and all walks of life who challenge each other, learn from each other and have a whole lot of fun along the way. We're hoping to finally try to get together next year in New Orleans and I'm really looking forward to it.
Search ADO within the dolls and bears category to see some of what we have listed during this promotion.
I am also adding my Burlesque doll to the auctions today, so you can watch for her too!
Dragon Girl didn't sell at ebay auction, the auction ended on Suday morning without a bidder. I must say I'm not sad about it. I'd like to have her hang around for a while. So back into my etsy store for her.
I did list my Ent though. In order to promote the ADO Art Dolls Only dollmakers we are posting this week to gain a presence inthe ebay market. We plan to do this at the end of each month. All of sell primarily on etsy and have sold only occassionally on ebay.
So right now I still have my Leprechaun, which has a bid on it anends Tuesday. So I'll have to get ready to say goodbye to him. He was a pleasure to make.
Yesterday I listed my Ent. He was a summer project and a lot of fun to make. If you have the time stop by and see some of the other wonerful doll artists work now up for auction on etsy. Search ADO in the doll category.
I'm just about complete so thought I'd post the pictures for those of you who have been following. I still need to do a little work on her base and shoes. This was an Art Dolls Only Challenge piece, and it really was a challenge for me. Finding the right fabrics for costume, trim, hair and I had a couple problems figuring out how to stand hr on her base... I tried a few things to see what works and what didn't. You can't be afraid to try new things along the way. Hope you like her as much as I do.
Testing the waters and trying to draw notice to the ADO world. It's been a while since I posted to Ebay so I thought I'd try a few out this weekend.
I've just listed my Dragon Girl. Here Wish me luck!!
